1970 Chevrolet Pro Touring SS Chevelle Convertible

The 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport is one of the most iconic muscle cars ever built. Everyone loves a Chevelle and they love it even more when it is a rare convertible. This Chevelle is not your average vehicle either, but you can tell that just from the incredible stance of this custom Chevelle. That stance is delivered via tubular A-Arms and Hotchkis springs and makes this Chevelle handle better than any Chevelle delivered from the factory in 1970. The wheel wells are nicely filled by 18 inch BOZE polished aluminum wheels and the wider tires in the back make sure that the power that is made, sticks to the ground.
Technology has changed by leaps and bounds since 1970 and this Chevelle takes advantage of those advances while still keeping that cool boulevard cruiser look. During the restoration of this drop top, a 572 cubic inch beast was installed to get this Chevelle moving down the road in a hurry when you hit that accelerator pedal. This crate motor puts out a whopping 620HP!!!! (You certainly could not get that from the factory). A chrome air cleaner sits on top of a Mass Flo throttle body fuel injection unit bolted to an aluminum intake manifold. That fuel air mixture is turned into power by GM Performance aluminum heads and is expelled by custom fabricated ceramic coated headers through full length custom 3 inch dual exhaust. A modern driveshaft spins that power to a 12 bolt rear end. To keep everything cool under the hood, an aluminum radiator was bolted up with dual electric fans. No need to worry about overheating when you are cruising this Chevelle convertible along the parade route. Don't worry about having to pull too hard on the steering wheel either because a polished power steering reservoir is connected to a billet March pulley and bracket system. Also for performance and eye appeal is a polished alternator to top off that clean look.
Making this 620HP monster come to a halt is no small task, but the work is made easy by a Hydratech power brake booster. 4 wheel disc brakes were employed for this undertaking and Baer front calipers grab onto cross drilled rotors to bring this Chevelle to a stop. When the fun is ready to begin again, shifting is done via a Tremec TKO 5 speed transmission, and to make sure nothing slips, a Centerforce clutch was installed to make sure you enjoy the power.
The blue paint with white stripes and white top makes this Chevelle stand out from the sea of red Chevelles out there and the white interior sets off the whole package. The interior retains that "from the factory look" to make this Chevelle a great mix of modern performance with that classic Chevelle look. Inside is a tilt steering column to set just the right driving position. The stereo choice is being left up to you. You can go with a factory radio, a new modern system or just listen to the rumble of the 572 engine.
What could be more fun that having the top down of this Chevelle SS on a beautiful and knowing that at any point you can beat the pants off of the kid in the new Mustang next to you? Call today to find out more about this fantastic vehicle.
