1968 Mercury Cyclone GT fastback. One of 400 built. The first of the 200 mph wind tunnel designs specifically for NASCAR. This is in the same rarity category as the Ford Talladega/Cyclone Spoiler 2/winged Mopars of 1969-1970 but this car came first. Production line trick employed by Ford Racing by raising the rolled edge of the lower body (where NASCAR measured ride height) to allow 2" lower to the track on the racing cars. Easy restoration on this rare prototype NASCAR beast. Barn stored since 1982 and the tarp covering it ruined the original red paint on the hood. $8500
One more thing unique about this car: It was built specifically to utilize a Ford Paxton Supercharger. No AC--and heavy duty non-power assist drum brakes (no vacuum boost with a supercharger!) I have the Supercharger for this car for an additional $3800. Sold only with the 1968 Cyclone. Not for sale separately.
