TThe car was stripped down to the body/frame. It was cleaned, repainted or recoated, and replaced if rusted out. It has a rebuilt 289 which was stroked out to a near 304; has maybe 500 miles on it if not less. Placed a dual exhaust H-pipe system with Flowmaster manifolds and headers coming from the engine. It has an automatic C4 transmission with a shift kit to improve performance. Has a brand new drive shaft running to an 8in rear end. It carries a 2 core aluminum radiator along with a transmission radiator and flex fan in order to alleviate the overheating problems of the early 60s Mustangs. Has a brand new alternator (chrome) along with many new engine accessories (a tasteful amount of chrome) to accompany the repainted candy apple red engine block. The engine bay has a wrinkle coat finish along with a chrome stabilizer bar and new engine mounts to help keep the car from twisting as much when you get on the gas. It has an Ignitor ignition system, removing the point from the distributor, and combined with a flamethrower coil. The engine has been tuned to a point where now it works at a high performance. It was taken into a performance shop and has the timing down great. It includes a Holley carb (Street Avenger, 4 bl) with an Edelbrock cam and intake manifold. Some of the interior needs to be replaced although the cushions were replaced and should still be good as they have not been sat on much, and some of the dash is in good condition. The back seat has memory foam in the seats to add to its shaping and comfort. Custom instrument panel and gauges and dash panel along with a GT-style steering wheel and a B&M hammer shifter. The stereo system is updated with a Kenwood receiver, Crossfire 6x9 speakers in the rear and 2 Crossfire 10in subs with an amp in the trunk (trunk and sub case were reupholstered as well with similar red carpet and vinyl to match the interior scheme). The glass was replaced if bad, or cleaned when we removed all glass from doors and quarter panels. The tracks were cleaned as well and regreased prior to being reseated. The body has a Shelby hood-scoop and Shelby side scoops. I have newer 16 inch Cragar SS chrome wheels with white letter Firehawk tires (only 500 miles or less on them). The body is in pretty good shape on some of it, but it will need a paint job and maybe some body work or replacement of some spots. Overall I loved this car, I just don't have time for it or to get it fixed up. I will post more pics when I get back home, so email me if you have more questions. I hope you can tell from the details, I was super involved in this car with my dad, so I should be able to answer any questions you may have about this car.
This is a great project car with opportunity for you to work on a classic car for yourself or with your child.
