The Javelin was a true pony car produced to take on the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, and it had considerable success in sales. I use the word considerable because of course nothing could outdo the monster sales of the Mustang. The AMX was a shorter version of the Javelin, with some serious power on a small budget model.
