The modern 300 series is quite popular today, but the 300 series started in 1955 with the letter series, each year the 300 name bearing a new alphabetical character, 300B, 300C, etc. through 1965 with the 300L.

Produced from 1975 to 1983, the Cordoba was Chrysler's entry into the personal luxury market, and was Chrysler's first model that was not full sized, having to follow the market trend towards smaller vehicles.

The Chrysler New Yorker was the longest running American nameplate, from 1939 to 1996.
