Check out this amazing laser straight SS 454 El Camino finished in High Gloss Black with White Stripes on the functional Cowl Induction hood per the trim tag. The restoration was done here in Southern California at the locally well known Doug’s Customs. Under the hood sits a non matching highly detailed 454 built to the original LS5 specs including the original heads to the car. Upgrades include a Cold Case aluminum radiator, Power Master Alternator and Starter, Pertronix electronic ignition and R134 Freon upgrade for the factory A/C that blows ice cold. The exhaust system consists of some big tube Hooker Headers with 3-inch pipe running through some Flowmaster mufflers headed all the way to the back. The Turbo 400 automatic transmission shifts great and the completely rebuilt 12 Bolt Posi-Traction rear differential with 3.31 gear ratio puts the power to the ground without compromising freeway speeds. Power steering, Power disc brakes and front and rear sway bars makes the car feel safe and a pleasure to drive. Wheels are 7- and 8-inch staggered SS 5 spokes with BFG T/A radials on all for corners to keep the classic look. The Black interior is in excellent condition and the Super Sport instrumentation all works as it should including the clock! It even has a tilt steering column with a sport wheel. A couple of Auto Meter gauges were added under the dash for a more accurate reading of some of the important engine stats. A Custom Auto Sound Stereo with JL Audio components and Bluetooth capability lets you crank your favorite tunes cruising down the highway. We seldom get El Caminos built to this standard but there is nothing cooler than a Jet Black 70 SS 454!!
